bottling memories of childhood
It has taken me 6 years and countless adjustments, but I have finally crafted a fragrance that evokes the aroma of Youth Dew. Or at least all the sophisticated, depth of scent that I remember from my childhood.
When I was young gifting scent was a common practice. Selecting a new scent for a loved one was a careful practice... maybe choosing a new fragrance because you know they'll like it; or giving them their prized favorite every year as a birthday present.
My Gramma only wore Youth Dew. I remember the texture of the bottle and the gold foil ribbon, and we gave her a new bottle every Christmas. I have such fond memories of staying at her house for weeks at a time in the summer.
It took some research and growth in my own perfumery skills to create the natural perfume I call 'Madeline' after my Gramma. A mix of citrus and floral accords in an amber-base. Lingering, sophisticated, classic.
