pinon & patchouli
Pinon (or pinyon) is a shrubby pine that is indigenous to the American Southwest & Mexico, the resin is harvested as an incense and smudge -
While the concept of ritual has spiritual connotations; we offer this: that by doing with intention, slowing down and being present creates a more restive, focused inner dialogue.
Taking a moment to inhale the vapors at times of transition will slow the heart rate and induce a calmer state of mind.
We have two anointing oils created with plants usually used for smudging or as incense. It isn't always possible to have something burning (at work, in the car, in public spaces)
The Pinon & Patchouli anointing oil blend, is sweet, uplifting, clarifying and has bright citrus notes which combines beautifully with the aged dark patchouli and peru balsam.
We use cold-pressed hemp oil in our anointing oils for a warm, slightly smokey profile and because skin LOVES to drink in the healing Omegas.
When combined with certain plants, the character of patchouli is 'powdery' and slightly 'dry'; rounding out the brightness of pine and citrus, or tempering the herbaceous.
Patchouli: pogostemon cablin, a member of the mint family, harvested and distilled in Indonesia
Pinon: pinus edulis, wild harvested and distilled in the US
