so I took the bait
So I took the bait and had the bot run the best nine for 2016 on my Instagram.
On a feed called @alchemyhenna, I expected to see nine panels of henna. And when the bot showed me the nine most-liked pics, I was a little taken aback.
It took me a moment to realize that these nine panels were an affirmation of goals I set for Alchemy at the beginning of the 2016.
Above all, at Alchemy I want to create connections: to your senses, to your self, to friends, to community - - and that goal is reflected in the photos.
These nine pictures leave out a few 'things' (like facials, fragrances and small-batch skin-care), but totally captures the essence of Alchemy.
A literal *footnote:
Not long after I wrote the post, I had the opportunity to henna the feet of a fellow Sagittarius. It's such a treat to work on people who appreciate symbolism and that indulging in henna intended only for oneself can be so gratifying.
The upshot is that this photo bumped up to Alchemy's 2016 Best Nine.
