botanical fragrances & natural perfume
Our sense of smell is assaulted on a daily basis by synthetic fragrances, to the point where some can't recognize the difference between artificial lavender and the authentic.
Maybe you've already made the transition to green beauty products, or cut out the nasty detergents national manufacturers masquerade as cleansers (soap isn't the enemy of your skin; detergents are).

Thank goodness that along with the authenticity of craft beers, slow-food and craft cocktails there is a renewed appreciation for well made, plant-based natural perfumes (botanical fragrances).
The science of manipulating the character of plant essences borders on magic in my mind. Its an alchemical journey for me that is an off-shoot of twenty (plus) years of mixing plant oils for beauty.
