I might have giggled out loud. Last night I did henna on my right hand.
This may not seem like a fantastical feat; but I did it with my 'wrong' hand and I was so thrilled, I giggled out loud.
When I started doing henna on myself, I couldn't do it as well as I now can with my wrong hand. Getting here wasn't HARD. OK, yes it was. Discipline is hard. Practice makes better.
This is important : drilling and repetition, the slowing down, like a moving meditation -- it creates muscle memory and improves you.
Yes, sitting down and practicing is how it happens. But not without help.
Thank goodness there have been teachers, conferences and colleagues who were willing to share their knowledge so I could hone my henna skills.
