hands-on approach to facials
At Alchemy, our approach is very 'hands on'. While the face is the focus during a facial, we are much more holistic than a typical service which only addresses the face.
Skin is your largest organ. It is part of the integumentary system, which means skin is part of a two way conversation between the internal and external environments. This is why a facial at Alchemy includes a LOT of massage, synthetic-free products and very few 'tools'.
Stress impacts more than just your heart and mind... the skin suffers, too. Free radicals which are loose toxins that cause breakdown / signs of aging -the body can't repair damage to the structures of the skin. Regular massage, plus foods and skincare that offer the a variety of body anti-oxidants support healthy, glowing skin.
We do have a couple of favorite tools that are technically 'mechanical' but are powered by hand.
a facialist's secret you can use at home:
It's not a waste of time... cleanse first with a simple oil cleanser (maybe with some added essential oils), and follow with a gentle foaming cleanser, tone and moisturize.
