 field trip to bonbonbon, hamtramck

1/28/2016

"Good People Deserve Good Chocolate" is the motto of Bon Bon Bon in Hamtramck, MI -- and they let me come by to pipe henna designs on the wee candies.

I was so thrilled when the Girls Girls Girls said yes, but I had no idea how warm, inviting and enthusiastic they all are. Though maybe I shouldn't be surprised, it's obvious they care very passionately about their own work - and passionate about collaborating with other small businesses.
Alex created a Henna Masala filling with garam masala and white pepper - sweet, but not too sweet. And I piped the chocolate ganache through a hand-rolled henna cone.
Once they were tucked inside the charming packaging, I didn't want to open them up. But then I decided that Board Meetings were more fun with Bons... and the sweet little package is perfect for one of the teeny Alchemy perfumes (and is inspiring some packaging ideas).
