In 1991 I bought my first bottle of ylang ylang and I have been enchanted by the essence of plant magics ever since. At that time finding quality plant-based skincare meant making it yourself - so I did. Soap-making. Lotions, creams, all of it. And later henna and perfumery 

- it's all plants in here!

I consider myself to be a student of henna - always practicing the forms, improving my skills and learning about the history and cultures that have a tradition of henna body art.

I started Alchemy in 2011 because I cannot JOB.  So I looked to my passions and created a company that allows me to cultivate the life I want: One of balance and beauty.

'Alchemy' reflects my belief in science and magic.

My husband and I live in Ferndale with our two college students and adopted dogs. I have a BS in Recreation and Leisure Studies, a lapsed certificate in Therapeutic Recreation,  and I am a licensed Esthetician.
